Day 13
Ardrossan to Tarbert
08.07.05

Distance covered today:

27.65 pedalling

+

2 ferry journeys

Accumulated distance

650.61miles of pedalling

Cyling over the island of Arran made today a short day's pedalling, although two ferry rides moved me north in a different manner.

One ferryman pronounced the trike not a bike at all and considerable negotiation was required to prevent it becoming the tariff of an articulated truck!

Arran is known as 'Scotland in miniature' but I now know that that description is without doubt, flawed. The mountainous interior of the island proves there's nothing miniature about the high spots as I discovered when tackling the Corrie Pass.
