This is Day 16 of cycling, but Day 17 of the entire trip as I had a day off yesterday to do a bit of planning.

Because Scotland is so busy with tourists and holidaymakers it seems necessary to book ahead, and as I'm sure now of my abilities in terms of distances I've booked all my stops in advance right to the end of the trip.

I must say hello tonight to the superlative Toddington Town Band who will be practising tonight as every Tuesday. They have been hugely supportive of this ride and they are preparing for their fantastic Cream Teas on the Green concert which happens on July 23rd by which time I shall have finished pedalling on this marathon!
